One of the activities that occupy most of the youths time these days are online communities. These communities on the internet whre people can meet and share information on various topics. Such communities include iearn (http://iearn.org), twitter (http://twitter.com), facebook) (https://www.facebook.com, my space (http://www.myspace.com) etc.. These are just some of the few that i have been able to use and would recommend you to join. All these communities have different objectives and you can check them out and see which one best suites you.
One such community that i joined and impressed me was facebook. This is community sharing network. I joined facebook about one month ago (after being pressurised by my friends) but it is so amazing how often i use it. I almost check on facebook every day because this is where i am able to keep in touch with my old classmates especially those of high school and college and almost every day i keep on meeting one i had spent a long time without talking to. I meet them from allover the world and we discuss several issues e.g. politics , our old school days, current affairs etc... this si particularly why i joined. I have also been able to make some new friends so... Some of the services that facebook provides include chats, social networks and gropu disccussions, sharing of photos and videos etc.. so i would recommend u join it because i personally find it fascinating
